What Is A Toiletry Locker?
Toiletry lockers are created to provide further assistance and resources to students who are observed to be in regular need of items.
A toiletry locker can include:
Shampoo and Conditioner
Masks and Hand Sanitizer
Behind the toiletry locker
Getting a toiletry locker for oír school is easy. As Taryn Giddings, a local high school student and toiletry locker facilitator says that “The process of getting the toiletry locker placed in the desired setting was relatively seamless. I reached out to the organization and facilitated the processing of the required paperwork and shortly thereafter the lockers were delivered and placed for students to access.”
The way BAG Lady outreach gathers the toiletries required for the lockers is through donations.
Toiletry locker’s impact
Taryn giddies shares, “The impact of the lockers for me has provided a feeling of fulfillment. Although I do not utilize the contents of the lockers I am fulfilled in knowing that I have been able to assist with spreading the word and placing a few in a few school buildings. I can remember as a junior high school student needing a feminine hygiene product and having to ask various classmates which was extremely embarrassing to me at the time. If only I had been able to access a Bag Lady Outreach toiletry locker.”
